Bright Nest is moving forward with its vision to establish a warm, inclusive bilingual daycare in the United States—designed as a place where children feel safe, loved, and supported in their growth.
Led by founder Moe Yamamoto, the project is rooted in a deep commitment to early childhood education that honors both Japanese developmental values and U.S. evidence-based practices. Through this initiative, Bright Nest aims to create not only a high-quality learning environment for children, but also a cultural and emotional home for Japanese families living abroad.
To make this vision possible, Bright Nest has launched a crowdfunding campaign to support key startup costs, including:
Securing and leasing a suitable facility
Renovations to meet safety and childcare regulations
Educational materials, toys, and supplies for art and music activities
A carefully curated collection of books in both Japanese and English
Every contribution directly supports the creation of an environment where children’s curiosity, emotional well-being, and love of learning can flourish.
Alongside her work as an educator at Boston Children’s Hospital Child Care Center, Moe continues to share the journey openly through public talks and online platforms—highlighting both the challenges and the hope involved in building a new educational space from the ground up.
This project is not only about opening a daycare, but about building a community—one where love and learning come together to support the next generation.
Further updates will be shared as the project progresses.
